Air Force to display F-16s at Guam Airport

ASAN, Guam (April 22, 2019) – The public is invited to a free static display of U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets at the A.B. Won Pat International Airport Guam April 23, from 4:15-6 p.m.

The aircraft and its crew, from the 35th Fighter Wing, Misawa Air Base, Japan, are part of Exercise Resilient Typhoon, which involves fighter and mobility aircraft gathering at and then dispersing from Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, to airfields across Micronesia.

The F-16, or “Viper” as it is nicknamed, continues to serve a major role in the nation’s defense in ensuring peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

Directions:

  • Enter Tiyan via Rt 8, Barrigada.
  • At the 4-way intersection, turn right onto Mariner Ave.
  • Take the first left onto Corsair Rd.
  • Turn right onto Neptune Ave.

The fighter jets will be visible on the apron before the United Airlines hangar.

The general public is urged to limit the contents of their personal bags/backpacks to essential items only. Bags are subject to search. Weapons of any kinds are strictly prohibited.
