GIAA Employee Earns A.C.E. Designation

The A.B. Won Pat International Airport Authority, Guam (GIAA) is proud to announce that one of its employees, Mr. Ivan C. Gumataotao, Electrician II (Airfield), has received the designation of “Airport Certified Employee” (A.C.E.) – Airfield Lighting Maintenance, by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).
The training programs took place at the Portland International Airport from August 1 – 5, 2010 and are part of AAAE’s focused certification programs. These programs are developed to enhance employees’ skills in specific fields of the airport industry, which include Airfield Operations, Airfield Lighting Maintenance, and Security and Communications.
“GIAA is dedicated to providing its employees, such as Mr. Gumataotao, with the necessary training to enhance their current skills. We congratulate Mr. Gumataotao on his achievement, as he now joins other A.C.E.-designated GIAA employees who have also earned this prestigious certification,” stated Mary C. Torres, GIAA Executive Manager, Acting.
