New Terminal Entry and Thermal Screening Procedure - Phase 1
Thursday, September 24, 2020
WHAT: The A.B. Won Pat International Airport Authority, Guam (GIAA) is advising the public, tenants, vendors and stakeholders of the implementation of Phase I - New Terminal Entry and Thermal Screening Procedures.
WHEN: Effective Monday, September 28, 2020 @ 6:00am.
PROCESS: During Phase I, all access into the Main Terminal Building will be limited to two entry points:
- Basement Level Entry from the Public Parking Lot
- Ground Level/West Ticket Lobby Doors located as you first drive up to the Main Terminal
These entry points will also serve as thermal screening stations and replaces the thermal screening station at the TSA Checkpoint and temperature checks will be expanded to all persons entering the terminal.
Departing passengers should anticipate entry at these points where they will be thermally screened before proceeding to the ticket counters for check-in. A secondary inspection station with trained medical staff will assess individuals who register above normal readings. It is recommended departing passengers arrive early to allow ample time for processing.
In line with the need for enhanced protection of the health and safety of all airport patrons, only employees on duty, active travelers, and persons providing GIAA-authorized business at the Airport will be allowed entry into the terminal. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we continue to introduce enhanced measures for the protection of all who visit the airport in this new travel environment.
