GIAA to Implement New Time Rules for Accessible Parking Spaces

Monday, September 30, 2019

The A.B. Won Pat International Airport Authority, Guam (GIAA) is advising the public that effective October 1, 2019, new rules regarding parking in “Accessible Parking” spaces will be implemented and strictly enforced. New rules and maximum time limits will be implemented to ensure that all who are the recognized legal owners of accessible parking placards can avail of assessable parking spaces when visiting the airport.

TIMED PARKING
On the Departures Level, there are a total of eight (8) accessible parking spaces. The first three (3) spaces closest to the terminal will have a 3-hour time limit. The remaining five (5) spaces will have a 10-hour time limit. On the Arrivals Level, there are a total of twelve (12) accessible parking spaces. The first five (5) spaces closest to the terminal will have a 3-hour time limit. The remaining seven (7) spaces will have a 10-hour time limit. See attached parking layout for timed accessible parking spaces.

OVERFLOW OPTION
Should all accessible parking spaces be filled, individuals with disabilities with legal accessible parking placards may park in the paid public parking lot. They will need to present their accessible parking placards at the tollbooth for the fee to be waived.

CREDENTIALS ENFORCEMENT
Only recognized legal owners of accessible parking placards may avail of accessible parking spaces when using this entitlement.

The attached parking map indicates the timed hours for the accessible parking spaces on the departures and arrivals levels. The public’s understanding and respectful use of these parking stalls for individuals with disabilities is greatly appreciated!
