Guam International Airport to Serve as Support Location for Military Exercises and Training

The Guam International Airport, Guam (GIAA) has been designated as a support location for Cope North 2022 and associated military exercises and training beginning Friday, February 4, 2022. The exercises will consist of military aircraft utilizing the Guam International Airport facilities.
“The A.B. Won Pat International Airport runways and taxiways continue to be vital infrastructure that support not only commercial aviation, but also military exercises and training,” stated John “JQ” Quinata, GIAA Executive Manager. “We are fortunate to support the armed forces in their activity and readiness against potential threats.”
The community should anticipate increased military air activity and associated noise on or around the Guam International Airport facilities beginning February 4, -11, 2022. Mr. Quinata concluded, “We thank the community for its patience and understanding during the course of these joint military exercises.”
