Kudos to Airport Achievers

The A.B. Won Pat International Airport Authority, Guam recognized the achievement of employees at the 2009 Tenant Appreciation & Employee Recognition get-together on Friday, January 15, 2010.
At the close of every calendar year, employees, including an entire division are nominated and their achievements evaluated in the following categories:
- Employee of the Year
- Supervisor of the Year
- Manager of the Year
- Division of the Year
- Spirit Award
- Integrity Award
The winners of the categories are announced at an annual banquet held during Airport Week, which commemorates the anniversary of when the airport authority was created by P.L. 13-57, which was promulgated into law on January 20, 1976. The employees/division recognized of outstanding performance during 2009 are as follows:

“We’re very proud of all our employees and especially the awardees who were selected by a panel of their peers as deserving of the distinctions within the categories. We have many challenges at the airport and it’s comforting to know that there are a pool of people who go above and beyond what is required of them, on a daily basis.” expressed Carlos H. Salas, Airport Executive Manager.
Deputy Executive Manager Mary C. Torres, added, “all the nominees in each of the categories are also well deserving of kudos! Being singled out amongst and by your peers is quite an honor. Congratulations to all and we look forward to another exciting year at the airport.”
