Triennial Full Scale Disaster Drill Exercise Scheduled for Wednesday, June 1, 2011

The public is advised that the A.B. Won Pat International Airport Authority, Guam will be conducting its Triennial Full Scale Disaster Drill Exercise on Wednesday, June 1, 2011. The public is advised to not be alarmed and be aware of additional road activity by emergency responders such as fire fighting trucks, ambulances, law enforcement vehicles, etc., who will be participating in this exercise around airport property.

The Airport Authority is required by federal regulation to conduct a full scale crash drill every three years on Airport property to test the Airport’s Emergency Plan for aircraft accidents and incidents in the event of a real live aircraft incident. The exercise is only a drill and will not affect the normal operations of the airport facility or any regularly scheduled flight activity.
